About Us

The owner of Cobble Hill Equine Products, Leslie Carlson, began testing Scoot Boots on her Welsh Cob mare in the rough mountainous terrain in Vermont during the late summer of 2015. She found them to be a great product and felt they needed to be stocked and readily available in the USA. In November 2015 Cobble Hill Equine Products started importing Scoot Boots from Scoot Boot in Australia. Cobble Hill Equine Products only offers products that the owner tests and uses. Having utilizing barefoot trimming on her own horses for the past 25 years, she will personally assist you with any questions on fitting or suitability for your horse.

About Scoot Boots:
Dave MacDonald is the creator and innovator of the Scoot Boots. He has spent a total of 30 years working with horses and 12 years as a full time farrier when he developed the world’s first practical hoof boot, the ‘Old Macs’ multi-purpose hoof boot in 1998.

Back in 1998, when the barefoot movement was in its infancy, Dave realised that the majority of shod horses could quite comfortably go barefoot with correct hoof maintenance over time and they could be aided with the use of hoof boots when riding over rough terrain.

Once the ‘Old Mac’ came to fruition he then had to convince horse owners that they could actually ride a horse in boots and could be used in most equine disciplines.

Since the advent of the ‘Old Mac’ hoof boot many new hoof boot designs have entered the world boot market to cater for the rapidly growing industry of barefoot trimming and booting.

"The Scoot Boot is the latest innovation in hoof boot technology that we believe will be far superior to any other horse boot on the market. This is due to its simplicity and ease of fit. Unlike other hoof boots, the Scoot Boot will not get soggy, heavy or wet when riding through muddy and wet terrain. This is because the Scoot Boot is constructed of very strong thermo plastic urethane (TPU) as well as the securing straps, which gives the Scoot Boot superb strength to stand up to all types of terrain that you and your horse may ride over.
